رَدَّ(n. ac. رَدّ
رِدَّة
مَرْدَد
مَرْدُوْد )
a. [acc. & 'An], Made to go or come back, sent or turned back from;
kept off from.
b. [acc. & Ila], Brought, sent back, returned to; converted to;
returned ( an answer ) to, replied to.
c. [acc. & 'Ala], Refused, denied.
d. Refuted.
e. ['Ala], Profited, benefited, advantaged.
f. Rendered, made to become.

رَدَّدَa. Repulsed, repelled, drove away, cast off;
rejected.
b. Repeated, went over again; reverted to.
c. Made to go to & fro; confused, perplexed.

رَاْدَدَa. Returned, restored, gave back to.
b. Opposed, resisted, withstood.

تَرَدَّدَa. Was repulsed, repelled, sent back.
b. [Ila], Returned, repaired to again & again;
frequented, haunted.
c. [Fī], Turned over, revolved in ( his mind );
hesitated.
تَرَاْدَدَa. Turned back, returned, retired.
b. Refuted; rebutted.
c. Repudiated.

إِرْتَدَدَ
a. [Ila], Returned to; was brought back to; was restored to;
was converted to.
b. ['An], Turned back, went away from; apostatized from.
c. ['Ala], Retraced ( his steps ).
إِسْتَرْدَدَa. Demanded back, reclaimed; called upon to
restore.
b. Took back; recalled; revoked.

رُدُوْد)
a. Obstacle, hindrance; impediment.
b. Refusal; repulse.
c. Reply; refutation.
d. Return, restitution; restoration.
e. Return, profit.
f. Bad, worthless; rejected; disallowed.

رَدَّةa. Defect, deformity.

رِدَّةa. Return.
b. Repetition; refrain, burden ( of a song );
echo.
c. Apostasy.
