[رمص] فيه: كان الصبيان يصبحون غُمصا "رُمصا" ويصبح رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صقيلا دهينا، أي في صغره، من غمص العين ورمصت، من الغمص والرمص وهو بياض تقطعه العين ويجتمع في زوايا الأجفان، فالرمص الرطب منه والغمص اليابس، والغُمص والرُمص جمع اغمص وأرمص، وانتصبا على الحال لا على الخبر لأن أصبح تامة بمعنى الدخول في الصباح. ومنه ح: فلم تكتحل حتى كادت عيناها "ترمصان" ويروى بضاد من الرمضاء وشدة الحر، يعني تهيج عيناها. وح صفية: اشتكت عينها حتى كادت "ترمص" وإن روى بضاد أراد حتى تحمى.
