(سبذ) - في حديث ابن عباس - رضي الله عنهما -: "أنّ رَجُلًا من الأسْبَذِيِّينَ = ضَرْبٌ من المَجُوسِ من أهل البَحْرَيْن - جاء إلى رسول الله - صلّى الله عليه وسلّم، فدخل ثم خَرجَ، فقلت: ما قَضىَ فيكم؟ قال: الإسلامُ أو القَتْل"قيل: هم ناسٌ من الفُرسِ كانوا مَسْلَحَة لحِصْنِ المُشَقَّرِ منهم: المُنذِر بن سَاوَى، من بني عَبدِ الله بن دَارِم، ومنهم عِيسىَ الخَطِّى وسَعْد بن دَعْلَج، الواحد أسْبَذِىّ، والجمع الأسَابِذَة.
