[دلص] الدَليصُ والدِلاصُ: الليِّنُ البرّاقُ. يقال: درعٌ دِلاصٌ وأدرعٌ دِلاصٌ، الواحد والجمع على لفظ واحد. وقد دَلَصَتِ الدرعُ بالفتح تَدْلُصُ، ودَلَّصْتُها أنا تَدْليصاً. قال الشاعر : إلى صَهْوةٍ تتلو مَحالاً كأنَّه * صَفاً دَلَّصَتْهُ طَحْمَةُ السيلِ أَخْلَقُ * والدُلامِصُ: البَرَّاقُ، والدُلَمِصُ مقصورٌ منه، والميم زائدة. وكذلك الدمالص والدملص. واندلص الشئ من يدى، أي سقط. والدلوص، مثال الخنوص: الذى يدلص. قال الراجز: بات يضوز الصليان ضوزا * ضوز العجوز العصب الدلوصا * فجاء بالصاد مع الزاى .
