[رفه] رَفَهَتِ الإبلُ بالفتح تَرْفَهُ رَفْهاً ورُفوهاً، إذا وَرَدَتِ الماءَ كلَّ يوم متى شاءت ; والاسم الرَفْهُ بالكسر. وأَرْفَهْتُها أنا. والإرْفاهُ: التدهن والترجيل كل يوم، وقد نهى عنه. ورجل رافِهٌ، أي وادِعٌ. وهو في رَفاهَةٍ من العيش، أي سَعَةٍ، ورفاهية على فعالية ورفهنية، وهو ملحق بالخماسى بألف في آخره، وإنما صارت ياء لكسرة ما قبلها. ويقال: بيني وبينك ليلة رافِهَةٌ وثلاثُ ليالٍ رَوافِهَ، إذا كان يُسارُ إلى الماء فيهنّ سيراً لَيِّناً. ورَفِّهْ عن غريمك ترفيها، أي نفس عنه. وفى المثل: " أغنى من التفه عن الرفه " ، يقال: الرفة: التبن، والتفه: السبع، وهو الذي يسمى عناق الارض، لانه لا يقتات التين.
